It is uncertain when aviation will return to pre-crisis levels. It is also unclear how the industry's cards will be reshuffled by the turmoil. But where exactly was the indsutry standing before?
A look at figures from times before covid-19 explains a bit. Last October the aviation research company Capa counted how many aircraft took off in which country. The placements in itself are not too interesting, but the difference between the countries are.
Number one has almost twice as many weekly departures as number two. Number ten has less than a tenth of the number one's take-offs.
