Ethiopian expands cargo fleet

The largest African airline is massively expanding its cargo business. Ethiopian Airlines is getting six more Boeing freighters.

A new giant has grown up in the Horn of Africa. Ten years ago Ethiopian Airlines’s fleet consisted of 47 aircraft, today ist consists of 126. And there are more to come. The cargo fleet is set to grow considerably in the coming months.

As Cargo Facts reports, the airline is procuring six more freighters. Today, Ethiopian Cargo owns two Boeing 737 BCF and ten 777 F. According to the report, another 777 F and two more 737 BCF are to be added. In addition, the largest African airline wants to acquire six Boeing 767 BCFs converted into freighters.
