Are Condor and Tuifly planning a joint venture?

Out of the crisis together? According to a report, there are plans to form a joint venture between Condor and Tuifly.

In 2016 Tuifly planned to merge with Niki and the leisure flight division of Air Berlin. Nothing came of it and of the three potential partners, only the airline subsidiary of the German travel group survived. Now there is speculation about a new alliance.

Referring to «informed circles», the Börsen-Zeitung writes that polititians are advertising a joint venture between Condor and Tuifly. Both companies have received financial aid from the state, the Tui group in the Corona crisis, Condor already before – as a result of the bankruptcy of parent company Thomas Cook. Neither airline is commenting the report.
