Aerolineas Argentinas wants to buy cargo aircraft

Having a cargo department without your own aircraft is currently a major problem. Aerolineas Argentinas is therefore now planning to purchase Airbus aircraft.

Passenger demand is slow due to the corona crisis. This leads to belly cargo capacity missing. And this is precisely the big problem currently facing Aerolíneas Cargo, the freight division of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Up to now, the cargo department of the Argentineans has only sent cargo around the world in the bellies of passenger planes. This is about to change. According to information from Aviacionline, Aerolíneas plans to purchase two Airbus A330-200 F.

Airbus, Boeing, Embraer

The two planes are scheduled to begin operations by 2022. Aerolíneas already operates ten A330-200 in the passenger version for long-haul flights. Boeing 737 are used on short- and medium-haul flights.
