Embraer has delivered its 1600 th E-Jet

Milestone for the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer. Embraer has delivered the 1600th E-Jet - to Helvetic Airways.

They are the Brazilians’ success product. In 2002, Embraer presented the E-Jets to the public for the first time. Two years later, polish airline LOT became the first operator of the new series of short- and medium-range aircraft with the acquisition of an E170. Since then, the aircraft manufacturer has delivered 1599 more aircraft.

Number 1600 was handed over to Helvetic on Wednesday (July, 1). The Embraer E190-E2 bears the registration HB-AZE and is the fifth aircraft of the Swiss wet lease specialist. It received a sticker under the cockpit with the number 1600: «It is a major milestone in the e-jet program and in the history of our company», says Embraer’s new civil aircraft chief Arjan Meijer.
