We are looking for a

Supply Chain & Quality Operations Manager (d/f/m)

at Satair (a 100% subsidiary of Airbus) in Hamburg-Finkenwerder (Rüschpark) to join our multi-national Supply Chain Quality department at the earliest possible start date.

The mission of the department is to Ensure ON-TIME & ON-QUALITY delivery of spare parts, kit parts and tools from our external suppliers and in-house plants in compliance with Airbus requirements. Disabled applicants with equal qualification are favored.

Your primary role will be to:

  • Manage contract execution & Supply chain & quality aspects of the contract and be responsible for supplier on quality, on time delivery (on cost when applicable) (OQ,OT,(OC)) performance – including implementation of recovery, improvement and development plan at supplier in order to secure delivery of the products and services in conformity with contract
  • Perform an effective control of supplier activities, securing a close understanding of supplier overall situation and scope

What can you expect?

  • You will coordinate the interfaces of all stakeholders involved in the supplier operations management, corresponding multi-functional or divisional teams, and act as an ambassador of the supplier toward internal functions
  • You will manage supplier quality approval/authorization, ensure that suppliers are compliant with certifications in line with Airbus requirements and in coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • You will Assess suppliers during tendering phase and perform selection decision together with call for tender team for new business model development/implementation, extension of existing scope or Transfer of Work
  • You will manage Transfer of Work and new product introduction including corresponding qualification and industrialization activities, drive continuous improvement of Transfer of Work and New Product Introduction process to incorporate After Sales specifics
  • You will provide consolidated forecast to suppliers and ensure/assess capacity, capability & performance, contributing to the supplier development
  • You will identify the supplier industrial risks and propose mitigation actions, work out short term recovery plans
  • You will initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects, set long term development targets together with the suppliers
  • Present the situation of the supplier on operational performance (KPIs, assessments..) during MFT/PRM meetings, and contribute to the annual Supplier Evaluation Development (SED)

Your boarding pass

  • You have a University degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering or a degree as a technician with relevant professional experience or equivalent
  • You have several years of experience in supplier approval/authorization/surveillance management
  • You have extensive knowledge of manufacturing/inspection processes and products as well as supplier couple compliance activities
  • You have detailed process knowledge and experience in all aspects of supplier selection, approval and Transfer of Work / New Product Introduction management
  • You have several years of experience in supplier delivery and quality performance management (incl. recovery and supplier development)
  • You have basic knowledge of QMS (Quality Management System EN9100)
  • You are experienced in performing supplier audits (product, process, special process qualification etc.) and in performing supplier assessments
  • You have experience in working in a transnational environment
  • Negotiation level of English is required, German or other language skills would be a plus
  • You are willing to take business trips, approx. some days per months mainly within Europe, seldom worldwide
