No sufficient offer

Aigle Azur heading for liquidation

The judges were not satisfied with the offers for Aigle Azur. Interested parties can now make improvements, otherwise the French airline will be liquidated.

Last week 14 bids were received and one bidder soon withdrew. The Commercial Court of Evry therefore examined 13 bids in a first step. On Monday (September 16), it took a closer look at seven of them. But the judges considered all of them unsatisfactory. Therefore they ordered the liquidation of the bankrupt French airline, but at the same time postponed it for a few days.

Interested parties have until Wednesday evening at midnight to submit improved offers for Aigle Azur. The judges decided to carry out the liquidation at the latest on September 27th, if no clearly bettered offers arrive until then. According to French media reports, two bidders were in pole-position – a joint project of Air France and French Bee of Groupe Dubreuil and Easyjet.
